Hello I’m Emma, founder and interior designer at Sol Studio.

At Sol, I take a collaborative and personal approach to designing homes and commercial spaces, working one-on-one with my clients to create interiors that are functional, soulful and thoughtfully tailored to the way they live and work.

With extensive hands on experience in residential renovations, together with my interior design qualifications, I bring creativity, organisation and a calm, practical approach to every project. I enjoy guiding clients through the design process, balancing the creative details with the practical decisions required to bring a project to life.

My approach to design is influenced by a lifelong love of creativity, from sewing and playing the cello to renovating, as well as my experiences living in London, Brooklyn and Berlin. These influences have shaped my appreciation for considered spaces, character, materials and thoughtful spatial planning.

Based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, I live in an Art Deco home with my husband, Mark and our son Raf. Away from the studio you’ll usually find me practising yoga, walking our pugs, working on something creative or enjoying a music or theatre performance.
